Father and Son Ski Trip

Dan and Jared were able to leave everyday life for a little father/son time in Vail Colorado. Dan was in Vail Monday and Tuesday hitting the slopes. Jared flew out Wednsday. Yes he flew all on his own. He was very excited and a tad bit nervous. While waiting for his plane in the airport all I could think about was how big he has gotten.

Jared spent the first two days in ski school and then the last two days skiing with Dan. I was not surprised at all when Jared told me he was skiing black diamonds on the last day. He is after all our little athlete. They had an amazing time!

Jared made a few friends in ski school. He enjoyed playing in the snow after a good day of skiing. He was also thrilled when he was able to ride a snow mobile all by himself.

Picture Perfect

Every time I download my pictures onto my computer I am always surprised by the amount of pictures my children have taken. My camera (not my new one!) has become a favorite past time for my girls. I usually delete at least 20 pictures every time I download. Who really wants to save pictures of a TV cartoon, a toe, an eye ball, a chair (I could go on and on). On this download alone I deleted about 10 pictures of Jamie taking a close up of herself smiling into the camera. When I got to this picture of a bowl of cereal -I could only smile and call it a keeper. This is Lexi's masterpiece. Jamie has already decided she wants to be either a teacher or a photographer. So if I can assist in the process of self expression....click away girls!

Jamie's Birthday Outing!

Instead of a party this year Jamie wanted to go horse back riding. She brought along a few friends. Jamie got a little spooked at the beginning but by the end she was a real cowgirl! It also would not have gone so smoothly without our good friend Kristen. We had a great time!

Our Polar Express Adventure!

I can't leave out one of the last adventures we had in 2008! What a magical evening we had with family. Lisa, Dave, Connor, Tyler, Scott, Hillary, Tate, Dan, Tami, Jared, Jamie, and Lexi . Caroling, pajamas, hot chocolate, a trip to the north pole, Santa and his elves, getting our tickets punched. Definitely a train ride to remember!
