Lexi went to ski school the first day. She was a little nervous and cried a little bit when we dropped her off but when we picked her up she was very proud of herself. She said it was a lot of fun. The second day she decided she wanted to spend the day with me. We had snow ball fights, made snow angels, and rode the gondola into town. She even found my phone after it had been lost in the snow for about 20 minutes. Her favorite part of the trip was the sledding and the heated pool.
I am loving the camera I got for Christmas. I just had to add a few sequence shots from our trip. It's almost like watching a video. Click on the collage to enlarge the photos so you can see the pictures better. The picture of Jared and Lexi catching air is my favorite. If you look close enough you can see snow flying off the front of the sled.
Lexi was so excited to attend her first Daddy daughter dance our city sponsors each year. Jamie went to her friend's birthday party (Hope) and got ready for the dance. Jamie had a great time getting ready with all of her friends. Meanwhile I was homing curling Lexi's hair and getting her all 'fancy'. Jamie's date (her dad) picked her up and then scooted on home to formally pick up Lexi. They triple dated with Arianna and her dad (Bryan) and Taylor and her dad (Sean). They all had a great time dancing the night away!
I can't believe Jared is 10 years old now! It has been an amazing adventure with this boy! He is not one to sit still and watch life go by. We had a family birthday party to celebrate his special day. He also got to wear the "Birthday Hat" at school. He has a great teacher this year who sang Happy Birthday to him 'Opera Style' in class. He saved up his birthday money and bought himself a basketball shoot out game. Jamie was very sick on his birthday. She did not really join in too much on the festivities. I still owe Jared a "friend party". Hopefully I will get around to it soon. March is still close enough to January isn't it?
It is fun watching her learn and interact with all of her gymnast friends.
